The third of three Vertues to start building in the autumn/winter of 1999/2000 was built by George Pinnington who took delivery of his Vertue drawings in December 1999. His package included the lofting and construction plans for the original 1946 raised topside carvel planked hull, the short cockpit and ocean cruising deckhouse. He selected the masthead sail plan.
George stayed in close contact with Laurent Giles during the construction period requesting advice on some details.
